Your shoes take care of you, take care of your shoes

Calfskin leather

Waterproof

Our leathers are already waterproofed but if you often wear your shoes when it’s raining we recommend using a colourless waterproofing spray. If your shoes are wet because of the rain, don’t forget to fill them with newspaper and to let them dry naturally while keeping them away from direct heat or direct sunlight.

Cleaning

In order to ensure longevity to your shoes, we recommend to often clean them. Moreover, cleaning them will nourish the leather and revitalize the colour of your shoes. A cleaning and nourishing cream used with a buffer will do both at the same time. In case of salt stains, you can mix water and a few drops of lemon or special agent together and then apply with a cloth.

Suede / wool

Waterproof

Suede is a very sensitive material and requires a lot of carefulness. Even if all of our materials are already waterproofed, we highly recommend using a waterproofing spray on the suede because of its fragility. The colour of the suede might turn a bit darker just after the application of the waterproof spray but within an hour it will recover its original colour. As for the calfskin leather, if your shoes are wet because of the rain, don’t forget to fill them with newspaper and to let them dry naturally while keeping them away from direct heat or direct sunlight.

Cleaning

Suede should be brushed gently with a suede rubber or with a smooth brush, smoothing down all the fibbers in the same direction. Salt stains are more common on suede materials than on calfskin leather but can be harder to wipe out. Start with gently brushing the suede with a soft brush and then use a suede brush which will erase the lasting stains.
